Gathering Information

Humans were hunter-gatherers once. Maybe it’s still in our DNA, because we’re doing much the same today. Except now, we hunt for gossip and gather information about topics that interest us. 👀
While gossip is considered outright negative, collecting information sits in a grey zone.
The more information we collect about pertinent topics, the wiser we become in worldly matters. Yet this very thing—gathering information—also makes the mind restless and distracted.
Which is why some amount of spiritual training is required for everyone in this generation. Perhaps a lot more than it ever was in the past.
Even something as simple as listening to a song—and its lyrics—with utmost focus can become a spiritual practice of sorts. 🎶 It anchors your focus and gently brings your attention back to the present moment. 🌿
